Construction at State Street & 300 North

To alleviate traffic congestion at this busy intersection, a roundabout is being constructed at State Street and 300 North. Expect traffic reroutes Sept-Dec. See https://udotinput.utah.gov/statestreet300north for more information. 

UDOT Survey: Capitol Hill Traffic Flow

UDOT is conducting a study to identify potential transportation solutions for people connecting to or traveling through and around the Capitol Hill area. Avenues residents are invited to take this short survey and tell us what you think would improve transportation in this area. Or call 385-800-7003 or email capitolhillimprovements@utah.gov

Virginia Street Reconstruction

We are pleased to announce the project is nearing completion! Please be safe and watch out for temporary traffic realignments on Virginia Street north of South Temple Street up to 11th Avenue.

UTA PUBLIC Survey 

UTA is holding a public comment period regarding proposed service and fares changes for both April 2025 and April 2026.

UTA is seeking public input on proposed changes, including feedback and information about how UTA can support riders in any future transitions by better understanding the impact of these changes on community members.

The comment period is open through December 13. More information is available on UTA’s website at rideuta.com/ChangeDay

ROCKY MOUNTAIN POWER WILDFIRE MITIGATION PROJECT

Rocky Mountain Power (RMP) has begun wildfire mitigation activities in the Foothills Natural area above the Upper Avenues. These activities include updating the power transmission equipment and poles to minimize the risk of wildfire. This work is scheduled for Oct – Dec and will impact the trails and other areas of the Foothills.
