Avenues Sweet Branch Library Events
The Sweet Branch is the sister branch of the Anderson-Foothill Branch using the same modular design. The branch contains over 8,000 square feet of service space, including a public meeting room that can be used for a variety of community gathering needs, from community council meetings to music performances to neighborhood celebrations. Free parking is available to the north of the building, and free wi-fi access is provided throughout the library.

Kids Calendar
Book Baby Storytime. Wednesday mornings at 10:30 a.m. A fun storytime that encourages playful interactions between little ones and their caregivers. Ages 0-3
Preschool Storytime. Thursday mornings at 10:30 a.m. Stories, rhymes, and fun to help kids get ready to read! Ages 3-5 Playtime. Friday mornings from 10 a.m. – noon. Playtime is an
unstructured time for little ones to play with toys and make new friends! Drop in anytime between 10 a.m. – noon.
Teen Calendar
Dungeons & Dragons for Beginners (10 years old and up) A friendly introduction to Dungeons & Dragons for first-timers, led by an experienced player. Held on the first and third Tuesday of each month from 6:00 p.m – 8:00 p.m.
Adult Calendar
Book Club: Sweet Reads Book Club will meet on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. in the meeting room to discuss A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith. Copies of March’s book, Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus, will be handed out at the end of the evening.
Art Exhibit: A new art exhibit featuring artist John Butler will start with a reception on February 10, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. in the Sweet Branch Meeting Room. “I was born with a pencil in one hand and a paintbrush in the other.” John Butler can’t recall the time he started in art. Come and enjoy his pieces that depict “A Day in the Life”. The exhibit will run through the end of March. See more at https://events.slcpl.org/event/9842324.
