Salt Lake Airport Spring Open House!   

April 18, 5:00 p.m.   Reservations Required

The Airport Open House provides an opportunity for the public to visit SLC without an airline ticket! Participants will enjoy experiencing the airport’s shops, restaurants and art installations without being rushed to catch a flight. A self-guided tour will be available along with prizes and discounts at SLC’s concessions.  Passes are free and are limited to four per person. SALT LAKE CITY “EXPANDING HOUSING OPTIONS” – EHO PLAN

Salt Lake City is proposing to rewrite the SR Single Family Zones ordinance. Your Greater Avenues Land Use Committee is discussing the elements of the proposed new ordinance, and will bring more information to Avenues residents via the GACC Land Use Page. A good summary article is HERE


WILDLAND URBAN INTERFACE (WUI) ORDINANCE

The SLC Wildland Urban Interface (WUI) Ordinance was approved by the City Council on Nov. 18. This was a State Legislature mandated ordinance, which regulates building codes, allowed building materials, and modifies landscaping rules in the designated interface area to reduce wildfire risk. 4TH AVENUE WELL MITIGATION
Salt Lake City Public Utilities

Salt Lake City Public Utilities has found Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl substances in the 4th Avenue well water, which supplies up to six million gallons of drinking water per day to the City. Public Utilities is working to remove these chemicals.

Below is a link for Public Utilities upcoming projects for the next 4 quarters that have a construction estimate of over $200,000. The dates shown are based on monthly updates performed for all projects and represent SLCDPU’s projected summary dates. These dates are subject to change based on the progress of current projects. SLCDPU reserves the right to cancel, postpone or add additional projects

in the Avenues historic district areas, which could change the character of the Avenues. See more HERE.
